The parables, it is important to realize, are insider language. Yeshua intrigues crowds with his mysterious stories and at the same time builds his inner circle. Parables require concentration, puzzling out what Yeshua meant, having ears not only to hear, but to listen. What do Yeshua’s stories for his inner circle mean for us as we desire to be insiders with Yeshua in the context of our own time and place?
