Dinner at a vegetarian kosher restaurant with a friend led me to this reflection. Mitzvah is commandment. Yeshua said we need more than mitzvah and to add mercy to our keeping the mitzvot. What was the original issue with Pharisees tithing on dill? What was Yeshua’s response to the tithing and what lack did he find in the religion of his time?
